A little water can hurt you
Clermont Handyman.com is well versed in diagnosing leaks in your home. With all the rain we have been having, this skill has come in very handy. After twenty-five years in building, we have seen and repaired many leaks. The problem with leaks is that their’ cause is not always apparent. Many leaks start somewhere else in your home and then manifest their symptoms somewhere else. These types of leaks are the hardest to find and are where building knowledge and experience really pay off.
Something important to remember, wherever there is water there is generally mold. Black mold and mildew are serious business. They have the potential to trigger serious respiratory illness and are almost certainly the asbestos of the 21st century. Water damage also manifests itself in ruined flooring, furniture, and rotted wood; but do not forget insects. Many of your homes worst insect enemies are drawn to water. Termites and wood boring ants love damp conditions.
Keep one thing in mind, that little leak which causes minor inconvenience now, could cause major headaches later. Where leaks are concerned, it is truly a case of spend a dime now and save a lot of dollars later.
